Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Junger Mann Auf Felsblock by Giovanni Giacometti was sold in the Swiss Made UNLOCKED auction at Sothebys in Zurich in June 2020. The price achieved of CHF 13,750.00 (€ 12,932.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CHF 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Giacometti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Panorama von Flims. 1904. in June 2016 with an auction result of CHF 4,045,500.00 (€ 3,744,801.12).
