Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Sothebys in Zurich held the auction The Swiss Fine Art Sale, which included the work Monteluco, 1931 by Giovanni Giacometti. The price achieved of CHF 16,380.00 (€ 15,822.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CHF 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Giacometti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Panorama von Flims. 1904. in June 2016 with an auction result of CHF 4,045,500.00 (€ 3,744,801.12).
