Auction result well in line with expectations
The work I, Rue Gabrielle by Jean (Hans) Arp was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Bonhams in London in April last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 765.00 (€ 912.24) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean (Hans) Arp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Déméter in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 5,825,000.00 (€ 5,144,396.36).
