Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Sans titre by Hans Bellmer was worth EUR 15,120.00 to a buyer in March last year. This price was achieved in the auction Une passion surréaliste : Collection Inna & Boris Salomon at Christies in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 4,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hans Bellmer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Self-Portrait With Die Puppe in October 2012 with an auction result of USD 374,500.00 (€ 289,010.65).
