Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December last year Bonhams held the auction Deck the WallsPrints & Multiples, which included the work West Wind Poster by Helen Frankenthaler. The »bidding war« ended at USD 701.25 (€ 655.50), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Helen Frankenthaler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Royal Fireworks in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 7,895,300.00 (€ 7,029,917.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Deck the WallsPrints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit West Wind Poster von Helen Frankenthaler zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 701,25 (€ 655,50) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Helen Frankenthaler erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Royal Fireworks im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.895.300,00 (€ 7.029.917,19).
