Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Upright Internal/External Form by Henry Moore for USD 1,807,500.00 (€ 1,608,668.57). This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Evening Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Moore achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reclining Figure: Festival in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 24,722,500.00 (€ 29,675,067.53).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Upright Internal/External Form von Henry Moore für USD 1.807.500,00 (€ 1.608.668,57) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Evening Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000.000,00 – 3.000.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Moore erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Reclining Figure: Festival im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.722.500,00 (€ 29.675.067,53).
