Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Bay of Sagami, Atami by Hiroshi Sugimoto was auctioned at Phillips in London in October last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 180,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 201,600.00 (€ 234,861.77). Admittedly, works by Hiroshi Sugimoto have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Black Sea, Ozuluce; Yellow Sea, Cheju; Red Sea, Safaga in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,888,000.00 (€ 1,403,404.45).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Bay of Sagami, Atami von Hiroshi Sugimoto kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 180.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 201.600,00 (€ 234.861,77) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hiroshi Sugimoto auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Black Sea, Ozuluce; Yellow Sea, Cheju; Red Sea, Safaga im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.888.000,00 (€ 1.403.404,45).
