Upper estimate price exceeded by 26 %.
The work Queen Victoria by Hiroshi Sugimoto was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in New York in October last year. It achieved a price of USD 75,600.00 (€ 76,102.28), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hiroshi Sugimoto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Black Sea, Ozuluce; Yellow Sea, Cheju; Red Sea, Safaga in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,888,000.00 (€ 1,403,404.45).
