This artwork by Issy Wood achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in May last year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction, the work Actual car 2 sold for USD 478,800.00 (€ 446,183.95) - well above the upper estimate of USD 200,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Issy Wood; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Chalet sold at auction in March last year with the realized price of GBP 441,000.00 (€ 522,855.13).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Issy Wood erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Actual car 2 für USD 478.800,00 (€ 446.183,95) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 200.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Issy Wood; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Chalet im März letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 441.000,00 (€ 522.855,13).
