This artwork by Issy Wood achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in October 2021. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction, the work Eggplant / car interior sold for GBP 327,600.00 (€ 388,117.52) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 150,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Issy Wood; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Chalet sold at auction in March last year with the realized price of GBP 441,000.00 (€ 522,855.13).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Issy Wood erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Eggplant / car interior für GBP 327.600,00 (€ 388.117,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 150.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Issy Wood; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Chalet im März letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 441.000,00 (€ 522.855,13).
