Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Bonhams held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Online, which included the work Etude pour un portrait de Picasso by Jean Cocteau. The price achieved of USD 6,375.00 (€ 5,959.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Cocteau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mediterranee - 1952 in December 2014 with an auction result of EUR 132,000.00.
