Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Bonhams in London held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art, which included the work L'Andalouse by Jean Dufy. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,925.00 (€ 10,642.75) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Dufy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Salle Gaveau, le grand orchestre in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 250,000.00 (€ 210,119.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit L'Andalouse von Jean Dufy zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.925,00 (€ 10.642,75) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Dufy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Salle Gaveau, le grand orchestre im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 250.000,00 (€ 210.119,35).
