Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Jean-Michel Basquiat was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,000,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,317,000.00 (€ 3,091,044.64). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Michel Basquiat achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 110,487,500.00 (€ 98,333,481.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jean-Michel Basquiat kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.000.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.317.000,00 (€ 3.091.044,64) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Michel Basquiat erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 110.487.500,00 (€ 98.333.481,67).
