Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jeff Koons achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in June last year. In the Evening & Day Editions auction, the work Balloon Monkey (Blue) sold for GBP 13,860.00 (€ 16,101.38) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jeff Koons achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rabbit in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 91,075,000.00 (€ 81,688,940.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jeff Koons erzielte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Evening & Day Editions wurde die Arbeit Balloon Monkey (Blue) für GBP 13.860,00 (€ 16.101,38) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jeff Koons erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rabbit im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 91.075.000,00 (€ 81.688.940,71).
