Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Femme entourée d'oiseaux by Joan Miró was auctioned at Christies in New York in November this year. The price achieved of USD 604,800 (€ 528,579) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as USD 500,000 - 700,000. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joan Miró achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peinture (Étoile Bleue) in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 23,561,250 (€ 29,174,437).

Die Arbeit Femme entourée d'oiseaux von Joan Miró kam im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 604.800 (€ 528.579) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 500.000 – 700.000 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joan Miró erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Peinture (Étoile Bleue) im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 23.561.250 (€ 29.174.437).
