Upper estimate price exceeded by 51%
The work Femme by Joan Miró was auctioned at Christies in New York in November this year. It achieved a price of USD 226,800 (€ 198,217), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 51%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joan Miró achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peinture (Étoile Bleue) in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 23,561,250 (€ 29,174,437).

Die Arbeit Femme von Joan Miró kam im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 226.800 (€ 198.217) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 51%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joan Miró erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Peinture (Étoile Bleue) im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 23.561.250 (€ 29.174.437).
