The work Gaudí XVII (D. 1076) by Joan Miró was sold in the Evening & Day Editions auction at Phillips in London in January this year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 34,020.00 (€ 38,613.23), 70% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joan Miró achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peinture (Étoile Bleue) in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 23,561,250.00 (€ 29,174,436.97).
