Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Plate 4, from Album 19 by Joan Miró was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in New York in November last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 4,462.50 (€ 4,322.87) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 3,500.00 – 4,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joan Miró achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peinture (Étoile Bleue) in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 23,561,250.00 (€ 29,174,436.97).
