Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Dream of Unicorns by John Wesley was sold in the Prints and Editions | ONLINE ONLY auction at VAN HAM in Cologne in January 2021. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,386.00 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Wesley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Plague in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 577,000.00 (€ 370,822.62).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Dream of Unicorns von John Wesley wurde im Januar 2021 in der Auktion Prints and Editions | ONLINE ONLY bei VAN HAM in Köln versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.386,00 und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Wesley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Plague im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 577.000,00 (€ 370.822,62).
