This artwork by John Wesley achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Paris in October 2021. In the Le parcours d'un collectionneurd'Alain Jacquet à Robert Combas auction, the work Hora sold for EUR 16,562.50 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Wesley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Plague in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 577,000.00 (€ 370,822.62).

Dieses Kunstwerk von John Wesley erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Bonhams in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Le parcours d'un collectionneurd'Alain Jacquet à Robert Combas wurde die Arbeit Hora für EUR 16.562,50 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Wesley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Plague im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 577.000,00 (€ 370.822,62).
