This artwork by Jonas Wood achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March last year. In the Laugh now but one day we’ll be in charge: Banksy and 21st Century Editions auction, the work Large Shelf Still Life sold for GBP 1,260.00 (€ 1,493.87) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jonas Wood achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Two Tables With Floral Pattern in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 6,510,000.00 (€ 5,338,691.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 80 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jonas Wood erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Laugh now but one day we’ll be in charge: Banksy and 21st Century Editions wurde die Arbeit Large Shelf Still Life für GBP 1.260,00 (€ 1.493,87) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jonas Wood erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Two Tables With Floral Pattern im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.510.000,00 (€ 5.338.691,16).
