Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Gespräch über Tramstop by Joseph Beuys was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in London in March last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,100.00 (€ 6,046.62) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Beuys achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Zeitpunkt: Das Massaker von Muenchen (Point of time: The Massacre of Munich) in February 2016 with an auction result of GBP 854,500.00 (€ 1,094,936.23).
