Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Imagine You Are Driving by Julian Opie was sold in the Prints & Multiples OnlineDavid Shrigley & Co at Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair auction at Bonhams in London in November last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,530.00 (€ 1,772.92). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julian Opie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Walking in London in the rain in June last year with an auction result of CHF 189,000.00 (€ 189,036.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Imagine You Are Driving von Julian Opie wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Multiples OnlineDavid Shrigley & Co at Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.530,00 (€ 1.772,92) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julian Opie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Walking in London in the rain im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 189.000,00 (€ 189.036,11).
