Lenticular acrylic panel comprised of an inkjet print, printed directly onto 20 lpi lenticular animating lenses, back mounted with 3mm Dibond (as issued).
40 x 17 1/4 x 1 1/2 in. (101.6 x 43.8 x 3.8 cm)
Signed in black ink and numbered 30/45 (printed) on a label affixed to the reverse of the frame (there were also 5 artist's proofs), published by Alan Cristea Gallery, London, contained in the original brushed aluminium frame specified by the artist.

Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Julian Opie achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in April last year. In the Editions & Works on Paper auction, the work Sara dancing topless (C. 126) sold for USD 40,320.00 (€ 38,265.16) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Julian Opie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Walking in London in the rain in June last year with an auction result of CHF 189,000.00 (€ 189,036.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Julian Opie erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit Sara dancing topless (C. 126) für USD 40.320,00 (€ 38.265,16) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Julian Opie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Walking in London in the rain im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 189.000,00 (€ 189.036,11).
