Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2021 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War to Present, which included the work Drawing For Helen'S Room by Julie Mehretu. The price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 19,160.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julie Mehretu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Black Ground (Deep Light) in April 2019 with an auction result of HKD 44,209,000.00 (€ 5,032,271.67).
