Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Companion (Full Bodied; and Flayed) (Six Works) by Kaws was sold in the From Japan with Love auction at Sothebys in London in October 2021. The price achieved of GBP 3,780.00 (€ 4,478.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kaws achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Kimpsons #1) in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 57,877,000.00 (€ 6,615,255.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Companion (Full Bodied; and Flayed) (Six Works) von Kaws wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion From Japan with Love bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.780,00 (€ 4.478,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kaws erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Kimpsons #1) im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 57.877.000,00 (€ 6.615.255,49).
