Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Kaws achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in October 2021. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Small lie (brown) (i), Small lie (black) (ii), Small lie (grey) (iii) sold for EUR 3,024.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kaws achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Kimpsons #1) in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 57,877,000.00 (€ 6,615,255.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kaws erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wurde die Arbeit Small lie (brown) (i), Small lie (black) (ii), Small lie (grey) (iii) für EUR 3.024,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kaws erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Kimpsons #1) im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 57.877.000,00 (€ 6.615.255,49).
