Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Interminable Net #4 by Yayoi Kusama was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019. The price achieved of HKD 62,433,000.00 (€ 7,106,693.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000,000.00 – 70,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yayoi Kusama have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pumpkin in April this year with an auction result of HKD 30,000,000.00 (€ 30,635,869.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Interminable Net #4 von Yayoi Kusama kam im April 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 62.433.000,00 (€ 7.106.693,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000.000,00 – 70.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yayoi Kusama auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pumpkin im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 30.000.000,00 (€ 30.635.869,57).
