Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Coccodrilli by Lucio Fontana was sold in the Art Contemporain Evening Auction auction at Sothebys in Paris in June last year. The price achieved of EUR 327,600.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 200,000.00 – 400,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucio Fontana achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Concetto Spaziale, La Fine Di Dio in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 29,173,000.00 (€ 27,620,715.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Coccodrilli von Lucio Fontana wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion Art Contemporain Evening Auction bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 327.600,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 200.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucio Fontana erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Concetto Spaziale, La Fine Di Dio im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 29.173.000,00 (€ 27.620.715,77).
