Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Marc Chagall achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. In the Marc Chagall, Colour of Life:Works Formerly from the Artist's Estate (Part II) auction, the work L'inspiration du peintre pour "chère Vava" sold for HKD 1,134,000.00 (€ 135,893.44) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 480,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marc Chagall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Amoureux in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 28,453,000.00 (€ 23,914,103.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Marc Chagall erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Marc Chagall, Colour of Life:Works Formerly from the Artist's Estate (Part II) wurde die Arbeit L'inspiration du peintre pour "chère Vava" für HKD 1.134.000,00 (€ 135.893,44) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 480.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marc Chagall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Amoureux im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.453.000,00 (€ 23.914.103,21).
