Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Marino from Shakespeare II, Plate VII by Marino Marini. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,657.50 (€ 1,583.25). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marino Marini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'Idea Del Cavaliere in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 7,040,000.00 (€ 5,233,033.52).
