Auction result misses estimated price range
In April this year a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Mark Tobey for GBP 114.75 (€ 130.78). This price was achieved in the auction Discovery Prints Sale Online at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mark Tobey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Autumnal Fire in June 2018 with an auction result of EUR 1,389,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Mark Tobey für GBP 114,75 (€ 130,78) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Discovery Prints Sale Online bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 300,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mark Tobey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Autumnal Fire im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.389.000,00.
