In November 2021 Christies in Milan held the auction 20th/21st Century Milan Evening Sale, which included the work Nordest by Mimmo Paladino. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 50,000.00 43% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Mimmo Paladino have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vespero in November 2008 with an auction result of EUR 216,750.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 43 % übertroffen
Im November 2021 führte Christies in Mailand die Auktion 20th/21st Century Milan Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nordest von Mimmo Paladino zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 50.000,00 und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mimmo Paladino auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vespero im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 216.750,00.
