Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Picasso 2011 by Mr. Brainwash was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in April 2021. The price achieved of HKD 237,500.00 (€ 25,428.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mr. Brainwash - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Charlie Chaplin Pink, which sold at auction in May 2010 for USD 122,500.00 (€ 99,037.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Picasso 2011 von Mr. Brainwash wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 237.500,00 (€ 25.428,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Mr. Brainwash mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Charlie Chaplin Pink beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für USD 122.500,00 (€ 99.037,92) versteigert wurde.
