Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Odilon Redon achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March last year. In the Modern & Contemporary Day Auction auction, the work Vase de fleurs sold for GBP 352,800.00 (€ 418,284.11) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Odilon Redon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le Pavot Noir in October last year with an auction result of USD 3,780,000.00 (€ 3,805,113.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Odilon Redon erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Vase de fleurs für GBP 352.800,00 (€ 418.284,11) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Odilon Redon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le Pavot Noir im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.780.000,00 (€ 3.805.113,75).
