Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 VAN HAM in Cologne held the auction Thinking in 3 Dimensions | ONLINE ONLY, which included the work 360° compass. by Olafur Eliasson. The price achieved of EUR 3,960.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Olafur Eliasson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fivefold Eye in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 748,500.00 (€ 1,074,895.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte VAN HAM in Köln die Auktion Thinking in 3 Dimensions | ONLINE ONLY durch, in der auch die Arbeit 360° compass. von Olafur Eliasson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.960,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Olafur Eliasson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fivefold Eye im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 748.500,00 (€ 1.074.895,25).
