Auction result well in line with expectations
In June last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Le vieux roi by Pablo Picasso. The price achieved of USD 1,275.00 (€ 1,217.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pablo Picasso achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les femmes d'Alger (Version 'O') in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 179,365,000.00 (€ 163,148,080.77).
