The work Raphaël et la Fornarina XXI: Michel-Ange est caché sous le lit (Raphael and the Fornarina XXI: Michelangelo is Hidden Under the Bed), plate 316 from Séries 347 (Bl. 1796, Ba. 1813) by Pablo Picasso was sold in the Evening & Day Editions auction at Phillips in London in January this year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,788.00 (€ 5,434.45), 60% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pablo Picasso achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les femmes d'Alger (Version 'O') in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 179,365,000.00 (€ 163,148,080.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Raphaël et la Fornarina XXI: Michel-Ange est caché sous le lit (Raphael and the Fornarina XXI: Michelangelo is Hidden Under the Bed), plate 316 from Séries 347 (Bl. 1796, Ba. 1813) von Pablo Picasso wurde im Januar diesen Jahres in der Auktion Evening & Day Editions bei Phillips in London versteigert.
