Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Scène de Cirque, avec Cheval ailé (Circus scene with woman riding a winged horse), from La Série 156 by Pablo Picasso was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in August last year. The price achieved of USD 4,462.50 (€ 4,433.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pablo Picasso achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les femmes d'Alger (Version 'O') in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 179,365,000.00 (€ 163,148,080.77).
