Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2010 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work St. Ives; Dreaming Girl; and a linocut entitled, Woman with Flowers by Patrick Hayman. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 1,008.89) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Patrick Hayman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Fisherman in October 2012 with an auction result of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,527.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit St. Ives; Dreaming Girl; and a linocut entitled, Woman with Flowers von Patrick Hayman zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 1.008,89) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Patrick Hayman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Fisherman im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.527,45).
