Auction result misses estimated price range
In June last year a collector was able to acquire the work Milderung (Softening) by Paul Klee for GBP 352,800.00 (€ 409,853.24). This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary Evening Auction at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 400,000.00 – 600,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Klee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bunte Landschaft in November last year with an auction result of USD 4,860,000.00 (€ 4,707,933.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Milderung (Softening) von Paul Klee für GBP 352.800,00 (€ 409.853,24) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Evening Auction bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400.000,00 – 600.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Klee erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bunte Landschaft im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.860.000,00 (€ 4.707.933,74).
