Upper estimate price exceeded by 26 %.
The work Large Bright Blue, from Eight Color Etchings series by Richard Diebenkorn was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in New York in May last year. It achieved a price of USD 189,375.00 (€ 176,474.70), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Diebenkorn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Recollections of a Visit to Leningrad in November this year with an auction result of USD 46,410,000.00 (€ 42,546,754.68).
