Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Untitled (Various Details of the Print Lobby) (see Lullin 142 and page 266) by Richard Hamilton. It changed hands for a price of GBP 756.00 (€ 879.62) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Hamilton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Epiphany in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 557,000.00 (€ 768,020.27).
