Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Painted Relief with Aluminium Square by Richard Lin was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2021. The price achieved of GBP 214,200.00 (€ 249,598.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Lin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work January 1967, which sold at auction in September 2018 for HKD 7,670,000.00 (€ 844,082.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Painted Relief with Aluminium Square von Richard Lin kam im Juni 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 214.200,00 (€ 249.598,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Richard Lin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit January 1967 beobachtet, die im September 2018 für HKD 7.670.000,00 (€ 844.082,77) versteigert wurde.
