Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Before One And Two #21 by Richard Tuttle was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in October 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,142.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Tuttle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Silver Picture in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 1,762,500.00 (€ 1,424,933.30).
