Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bretonne, Ecarteuse de Goëmon by Robert Delaunay was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale auction at Christies in New York in May 2017. It changed hands for a price of USD 75,000.00 (€ 66,749.73) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Delaunay achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tour Eiffel in February 2012 with an auction result of GBP 3,737,250.00 (€ 4,462,375.53).
