Sold at the lower estimate price
In June 2017 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Etude pour La Grand Portugaise by Robert Delaunay. The result of GBP 100,000.00 (€ 113,881.34) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Delaunay achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tour Eiffel in February 2012 with an auction result of GBP 3,737,250.00 (€ 4,462,375.53).
