Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work A Spanish Water Carrier (Toledo) by Robert Frederick Blum for USD 17,925.00 (€ 18,298.29). This price was achieved in the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Frederick Blum achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venetian Gondoliers in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 1,142,500.00 (€ 924,053.70).
