Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Macnamara by Robert Henri was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 212,500.00 (€ 195,043.60) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Robert Henri have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mary Agnes in December 2009 with an auction result of USD 1,538,500.00 (€ 1,073,471.95).
