Upper estimate price exceeded by 26 %.
In April last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Features from Currents (Foster 126-151) by Robert Rauschenberg. The »bidding war« ended at USD 37,800.00 (€ 35,873.59), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Rauschenberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Buffalo Ii in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 88,805,000.00 (€ 79,652,883.67).
